Using the app

You can listen to the live broadcast without creating an account. Listening does not require access to your microphone, precise device location, contacts or camera.

The app connects to station services to receive live audio and current-programme information. It also loads artwork from image addresses supplied by those services.

Information involved in network connections

Internet services process your IP address to deliver audio, programme information, images and website pages. Requests can also include technical information such as request time and standard connection or client headers.

The station services used for the live broadcast include stream.chiliradio.app and dj.chiliradio.app. Artwork may be delivered by additional image-hosting providers. These services may record technical information in access, operational or security logs.

Stream connections may also be used to produce listener statistics, such as listening duration and approximate country or city derived from an IP address. This is different from requesting precise device location. IP-linked records can identify a connection and should not be treated as anonymous merely because listening does not require an account. This information supports service delivery, listener reporting, security and troubleshooting.

Advertising in broadcasts

The Chili Radio live stream can contain advertising. These advertisements form part of the broadcast you hear.

Data on your device

Artwork and temporary playback data may be cached or buffered to support listening. The live-stream app does not provide an offline song-download library. Your device and operating system manage local application storage.

The website stores a language-preference cookie called NEXT_LOCALE. You can clear cookies and cached website data using your browser settings.

If you contact us

If you send an email, your email service and the recipient process the address and message you choose to send. An in-app support account is not required.

Service providers and external links

Audio delivery, programme information, artwork and website hosting depend on external infrastructure. Providers receive the network requests necessary to supply their services and may process them on servers outside your country. Websites, app stores or email applications opened through our services operate under their own privacy arrangements.

Retention, privacy requests and security

Retention depends on the purpose of the record and the service provider involved. Technical records may be retained for service operation, listener reporting, security and troubleshooting; correspondence may be retained to handle your enquiry and related obligations.
